Open Class

The students were really working hard for this day. Before we knew, it was Friday 5th of October. The students were really eager to show their parents what they had learnt and what they were capable of. They wanted their parents to be proud of them. I can sencirely say that they achieved it. You could see it in the glow that each parent had while watching them.

They started singing to welcome their parents, the song was called " Good morning , dear parents" the students put into the song their special sparkle, which made it more fun. Then they said a very funny poem in spanish called "La vaca estudiosa" . The parents liked this poem very much , but what made it more special was when a couple of students said the same poem, but with their own rhythm. Then they went back to English again with a Math game, where the parents participated. They had to remember the multiplication tables, and if that wasn`t enough they had to say it in English. Everytime the parents took too long the students would count to three. If a parent lost they would have a small punishment where they had to dance or sing. You had to be there, to see how much fun we had. Well after this they did a Science experiment were they had to mine the chocolote chips from the cookies. The students and parents were eager to eat the cookies. And to finish off the students did a play called " Little Red Riding Hood". In this play the students put on their best performance and I think showed their parent how well they could speak and pronounce. But this wasn't the end, they finished with a song called " So long, farewell" . For me it was a great success. I felt proud of the kids, they were happy too. It was hard work but we made it.
